Jade grew up as an American transplant in San Salvador, El Salvador, getting the chance to climb mountains and volcanoes all throughout Central America and scuba dive the Caribbean Sea at a young age.
Jade blames her addiction to slacklining on Sonya. After moving to Boston to pursue her Masters' degree in environmental health, Jade found acroyoga (an acrobatic, partner style of yoga) and, later, slacklining as her outlets while trying to juggle work and study. One fateful day found Sonya at her local acroyoga gathering eager to try something new. These days, the two are fast partners in adventure and coffee. Finding time to climb at least once a week between work and school commitments quickly became a necessity as both seek to push their limits as climbers in preparation for upcoming adventures. Now that her studies are done and she works as a toxicologist in Boston, Jade spends all of her free time climbing, slacklining, doing acroyoga and generally loving all things outdoors.
