Mohammad’s photos of Iranian highlines inspired the first US & Iran highline project and the beginning of Crossing Lines.

In 2012, Mohammad learned to slackline by watching videos online. Later that year, highliners from the Slack.fr team traveled to Iran for a climbing festival and brought a highline rig. Mohammad impressed them with his determination and they donated their highline equipment to his continued development in a country limited by sanctions.

Mohammad recently opened a climbing gym in his home town in Iran.
